The teacher in a Montessori school is called a directress and is a vital link between the prepared environment and the child. With ceaseless care she assists the child in his achievements sensitively, calmly and respectfully. Observant of the child's needs she introduces materials accurately and at the right time.
COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE STAFF
Trust and mutually understood expectations between parents and the staff are best maintained through an effective system of communications. Twice a year prior to the Christmas and Summer holidays, parent/teacher interviews will be held. In addition the school welcomes comments and encourages parents to seek answers to their questions. The head teacher and other staff members are most easily reached just after dismissal for those interested in arranging a time for an informal meeting. The head teacher will then make individual arrangements with the parent .
